Why did my score change? What does the plus or minus value next to it show?
The score is calculated from all answers in the selected period. The value next to it is the difference between the last two comparable measurement days.
The “GEO visibility score” on the Overview shows the percentage of answers generated in the selected period (Last 30 days by default) that mention your brand. Each new scan is added to the calculation, and older measurements that fall outside the period drop out of it.
The plus or minus value next to the score isn't the change in the 30-day score. It's the difference between the last measurement day and the comparable measurement day before it, read in points. That's why you can see a change next to the score even when the score itself hasn't moved. Very small differences aren't shown.
The change is only calculated between two measurements made with the same set of prompts and engines. If the two measurements being compared aren't the last two, their dates are shown in the bell on the Overview.
The things that affect the score most are changing the period filter, adding or archiving prompts, and your engine selection. AI engines don't give the same answer to the same prompt in every round, so ups and downs in a single measurement are normal. Read the trend over a longer period.
The “first look” table in setup is based on eight prompts, one engine and that day's data. The dashboard uses all your prompts, four engines and the selected period, so the two figures differ.
